This program is AWESOME and I would highly recommend as either a therapist or a client.  As a therapist or client there would be alot of paradigms to explore, things to learn, and say “OHH” about.  If you can’t make a comprehensive consider an intensive (check out my web site www.theinnerconnection.net)

Integrative Intentions is approved by the National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork (NCBTMC) as a continuing education Approved Provider.

Integrative Intentions invites you to be a support therapist in the October 7 – 11, 2010  Comprehensive Therapy Program to be held at Balanced Being Integrative Healing at 1804 Black Lake Blvd, SW, Suite 101, Olympia, Washington.

This Comprehensive Therapy Program will be a great opportunity for gaining experience with multi-hand therapy!

We encourage you to participate in all 5 days, as continuity is important in this program. You’ll be working with and learning from a variety of experienced CranioSacral Therapists.  While our work is always based in CST and SER, there will be a variety of adjunctive therapies also available. These may include Visceral Manipulation, Lymphatic Drainage, Aquatic Therapy, Massage, Chiropractic, Acupuncture, Zero Balancing, as clients needs present.

There are still openings for clients in this CTP!!!!

We will begin with a meeting for all therapists at 6:30pm on Wednesday the 6th, the evening before the clients begin, to meet one another, talk about our roles and go over pertinent information.

The program will run from 9:00 to 4:00 for five days and will include 9 – 11 clients. We are planning 11 primary therapists, 18 or more support therapists, and additional adjunctive therapists. Our basis is always in CranioSacral therapy, though we integrate many other modalities.

After the clients leave for the day, we will have time to meet in group sessions to discuss, privately among the therapists, the events of the day for a better understanding of the needs of the clients.  After which you will have time to interact with other therapists providing additional input, learning, development of your therapy skills and is often a time to experience the different therapies with one another.

Lodging is available at the Red Lion Hotel on a first call-first reservation basis. A special negotiated price will be given to guests who refer to Integrative Intentions. The group rate is $95 plus tax per night, single or double occupancy and $115 plus tax per night, triple or quad occupancy.  To reserve a room, please call them at (360-943-4000) aand make sure to mention that you are with Integrative Intentions.   There are a limited number of rooms available, so please make your arrangements right away.  Another nearby hotel is Extended Stay America.  Their number is 360-754-6063.  Affordable meals are available in the nearby surrounding area.

Was just thinking about how long I have been with my husband and everything we have been through.  He proposed to me 17 years ago over the 4th of July weekend.  We were at a restaurant and he had a glass slipper made to fit my foot, his proposal was also his marriage vows and it said:

PROPOSAL OF MARRIAGE: I can’t offer you much, I can offer you my undying love, my eternal fidelity, and my everlasting devotion.  I promise to always listen to  and hear you.  I will always be there for you and support you in everything you do.  I know that I am no prince…Will you make me the happiest man on earth by consenting to be my wife…you will be my princess always.

WOW…time has gone quickly.  I’m glad i said YES!!!

Discover CranioSacral Therapy
CST was pioneered and developed by osteopathic physician John E. Upledger following extensive scientific studies from 1975 to 1983 at Michigan State University, where he served as a clinical researcher and Professor of Biomechanics.

CST is a gentle, hands-on method of evaluating and enhancing the functioning of a physiological body system called the craniosacral system - comprised of the membranes and cerebrospinal fluid that surround and protect the brain and spinal cord.

Using a soft touch generally no greater than 5 grams, or about the weight of a nickel, practitioners release restrictions in the craniosacral system to improve the functioning of the central nervous system.

By complementing the body’s natural healing processes, CST is increasingly used as a preventive health measure for its ability to bolster resistance to disease, and is effective for a wide range of medical problems associated with pain and dysfunction, including:

  • Migraine Headaches
  • Chronic Neck and Back Pain
  • Motor-Coordination Impairments
  • Colic
  • Autism
  • Central Nervous System Disorders
  • Orthopedic Problems
  • Traumatic Brain and Spinal Cord Injuries
  • Scoliosis
  • Infantile Disorders
  • Learning Disabilities
  • Chronic Fatigue
  • Emotional Difficulties
  • Stress and Tension-Related Problems
  • Fibromyalgia and other Connective-Tissue Disorders
  • Temporomandibular Joint Syndrome (TMJ)
  • Neurovascular or Immune Disorders
  • Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder
  • Post-Surgical Dysfunction

SER is a therapeutic process that uses and expands on the principles of CranioSacral Therapy to help rid the mind and body of the residual effects of trauma. SERI offers applications designed to enhance results using CST and other complementary therapies.

  • Assess and mobilize the Avenue of Expression working through more than 10 different body components, including the thoracic inlet, hard palate and hyoglossal tissues.
  • Locate and release Energy Cysts.
  • Release suppressed emotions that may be inhibiting complete structural releases.
  • Refine listening and comprehension skills.
  • Improve palpation and whole-body evaluation skills.

First, school has started and both my children are in full schedule.  They like being back in school and with their friends.  My son’s shoulder and other injuries are doing well and his recovery has been amazing.   Don’t know why it would amaze me…I see this type of transformation daily, but it is always awesome to witness it first hand with a loved one.

What types of transformations do you witness?  What are you grateful for?  What things in your life do you look at with wonderment?   Things that make you go hmmmm……
